DOSING: ADULTS — Hemostasis: Local: Apply packs or sponges dry or saturated with sodium chloride. When applied dry, hold in place with moderate pressure. When applied wet, squeeze to remove air bubbles. The powder is applied as a paste prepared by adding approximately 4 mL of sterile saline solution to the powder.

CONTRAINDICATIONS — Should not be used in closure of skin incisions since they may interfere with the healing of skin edges
WARNINGS / PRECAUTIONS
Disease-related concerns: Infection: Do not use in the presence of infection; if signs or symptoms of infection or abscess develop in an area where placed, reoperation may be necessary to remove material and allow drainage. Postpartum bleeding/menorrhagia: Do not use to control postpartum bleeding or menorrhagia.
Other warnings/precautions: Appropriate use: Do not overpack, product expands by absorbing fluid. Sterilization: Do not sterilize by heat.
